Art - Muse Masterpieces

Grades: 1-6
Where do artists get their inspiration? For centuries artists have been inspired by muses. Rodrigue’s Blue Dog, O’Keefe’s Perdanal, Obata’s national parks, Degas’ ballerinas and Monet’s water lily series all were influenced by special relationships, places or experiences. During this week, we will study the influence of the muse on artwork throughout the ages. We will then explore what inspires each camper and will create a variety of artwork reflecting their own personal muses.
