Grades: K-2, 3-6
The ability to provide first aid while camping, hiking or biking in the wild is a valuable skill which requires quick thinking and
resourcefulness. This camp addresses a
variety of common first aid scenarios experienced in the great outdoors and teaches kids how to appropriately respond. Campers learn about poisonous snakes, types of venom and how to help a snake bite victim. Instruction
also covers the signs and symptoms of hypothermia, how to treat it at the scene, and when to get medical attention. Campers make a water filter and learn the importance of clean water. A common bandana becomes one of our most valuable tools as campers learn 20 ways to use it in a first aid situation. All explorers and adventurers should take this camp!
