Musical Theatre: Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr. (2 week camp)

Musical Theatre: Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr. (2 week camp)

Grades: 5-9

Join us for a summer production of Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr. Based on the Emmy Award-winning animated TV series, this production uses catchy songs to teach grammar, math, science, history, social studies and political science while telling the story of Tom, a young teacher nervously anticipating his first day on the job. Students will work together to cast, choreograph and perform a full length show on the last day of camp in Parish’s Black Box Theatre. This is a well-rounded musical theater experience including acting, dancing, production and singing. Campers will learn how to audition, create a character, perform in an ensemble and work collaboratively as a group. There are opportunities for all skill levels. Sign up early as space is limited. Please note: Due to the rapid pace and demands of this production, we ask that students commit to the full length of every day of camp in order to fully stage this show.
