The Drumline camp will introduce campers to snare and drum pads and teach them how to play and read basic rhythms over the course of the week. Students will also learn music that they will be able to showcase at an end of week performance! Experience from this camp will translate well to marching, concert and/or rock bands in addition to drumline. Each camper will receive a pair of drumsticks to keep.
This camp is instructed by Johnathon Jadvani who received his B.A. in Percussion Performance from Butler University and Masters of Music from the University of Miami. In addition to holding an adjunct faculty position at the University of Miami, Johnathon has performed throughout Indiana and South Florida and has toured with many ensembles. Performances include a Carnegie Hall world premier of Wolf Rounds by Grammy-winning composer Christopher Rouse, marching Drum & Bugle Corps with the Wabash Crusaders, and service as the unit section leader of Stryke Percussion. Many of Mr. Jadvani’s students have gone on to very successful careers in music. Johnathon is currently an Assistant Band Director/Director of Percussion Studies at Liberty High School in Frisco, Texas.
