Programming & Circuitry with the Internet of Things

275.00

Grades: 4-8

This class will introduce students to Raspberry Pi and the Python programming language as it relates to the Internet of Things (IoT). The IoT is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators and network connectivity which enables these objects to connect and exchange data. Using Raspberry Pi circuit boards and Python coding, students can create several possible IoT projects including: learning to connect the Raspberry Pi to the internet, creating a traffic light that is linked to an internet server, collecting temperature data with sensors, exploring the technology behind the RING doorbell.
