Piano Camp: Ivory Adventures II*

Piano Camp: Ivory Adventures II*

Piano Camp: Ivory Adventures II

Grades: 4-6

This is designed for students who have no previous experience or basic introductory knowledge of piano. Campers will learn the fundamentals of music notation, staff reading (treble and bass clef) and how to play beginner pieces on the piano (i.e.  folk, pop, sacred, Disney, etc.). Students will also enjoy a creative movement segment and daily composer spotlight. This class is an excellent and economical way to test your child’s interest in the piano and prepare for private lessons. In addition, the knowledge and skills acquired can help children excel when they enter band, choir or orchestra. The class will culminate with a “mini-recital” for parents on the final day of camp. All books, music and materials are included in the camp fee. Class size is limited to 10 students so reserve your spot now!

Students who complete Level 1 may progress into Level 2 with the instructor’s approval. Similarly, students who have previously taken private music instruction but are under the grade range for Level 2, may register with instructor approval. Please email summer@parishepiscopal.org to inquire.
